Hey I just saw you on Discovery in the Netherlands for the 1st time. That is really cool. Roadworthy rescues. Now my wife knows what I watch on YouTube. (That's a good thing) She's a gearhead as well.
Who cares how quick it is, line 'er up and give it 'er, that's what counts at the end of the day it's the friendships that will be fondly remembered.
Before I watch I hope ur Chevelle can run 15.50 that converter needs changed bad and probably the cam is way off I've seen a lot of 350 Chevy motors make 300 at the rear wheels with just those double hump heads and dual exhaust.
That right there sir is the finest example of the best year of Chevelle man I love those tail lights ! Shucks she's a purty 1.
Wow that car looks like it does run 12s I'm surprised 12s is getting it pretty good
Dang that 2nd pass it pulled the wheel up off the ground
Hi Derek, like your channel, you need to use a remote microphone when you're driving, so what you say can be heard, keep up the content
Some SS hood and trunk stripes in white would really make this car pop…what do you think? Pearl white, just so it is unique.
Love Chevelles, by the way! I have owned several.
12 seconds in a 1/4 is a fast car I've been in a 13.20 mustang 5.0 and that car would throw u back in the seats.
I'm glad I'm not Jeremy that's for sure. Get liberty into the 10s
Ahhhh man. You got too big. Wheres the revivals in random fields and rebuilds in your driveway. Happy for ya, but now you're just another shingle on the roof of paid you tubers. Miss the old content, the working class stuff.
Love your videos. It is great to have a place to watch some wrenching stuff without worrying if my grandkids walk by they are going to hear some "unique" dialog that might emotionally scar them for life.
The simpler the better. HP costs $. $ does not equal fun. Keep it as is. It will never be worth more than rhe way it sits now!
Good video, just a few things; I'm on the verge of 65 lol and remember going to the track when in the same time frame of when this car was being ran. The paint originally on the car was Dupont Lucite, a lacquer based paint, an EPA nightmare today but a great paint, easy to blend and buff out an oops! When you talk about pulling the car with a tow bar, it was called flat towing and was an affordable way to transport your car, it was done with tow hubs which prevented wear and tear on your drivetrain. The tow hub was basically a free wheeling front hub that bolted on your axle flange, it allowed the rear wheels to turn without the axles turning. Good luck with the car, I may see you at the track, I'm in Georgia near Atlanta.
I know I would love to recover my first car… stories like this bring me back for sure. I had a ‘74 Pinto with a 289, C4, and an 8” rear with 4.11 limited slip. It had a trunk instead of a hatch, which has always been my favorite model…
Liberty 2.0 to me is a big tire big block nitrous monster
I feel like your channel was made specifically for me. I agree with so many of the things about how you live your life. Your gratitude to your viewers and how you all blend as a vibrant family is just the best. In addition, you bring your ideas to the common person like me. Since I don't have the time or place to do what you do, I get so much out of this. I've grown up around cars and mechanics all my life. Our family owned a Chrysler/Pontiac dealership from before I was born until the mid eighties. In addition, I owned 'walkers" for most of my cars. Up until recently, I did most all repairs myself. A guy starts to value time enough to pay to have some things done. Your shop is just the best. Your level of professionalism is awesome. Btw, this Chevelle is one of the nicest I've ever seen. And "Zip Ties and Woodchips"! Hahahaha. I'm also a musician.
No rain when it was daily driven? Maybe after it became a race car I could agree. Love the 400s my favorite sbc!
23:51, What's the word Jessica ? Decora lol
