2023 Corvette Z06 vs Dodge Demon // DRAG & ROLL RACE

The 2023 Corvette C8 Z06 ($128,000 in Canada, $106,000 in the US) is undoubtedly loud, brash, and ripping fast. But the Dodge Demon ($109,995 original msrp in Canada, $84,995 in the US) has been tearing up drag strips and revving at traffic lights since 2018. So what happens when you pit these two American monsters against one another at Willow Springs Raceway in California? The Demon has a significant power and torque advantage, but the C8 Z06 has multiple weight advantages. One being that it is simply lighter, but the other is where the weight of the engine resides – over the rear wheels. This makes it easier for the Corvette to find traction off a launch and hopefully help it avoid pesky wheel spin.

Thomas takes up the helm of the Dodge Demon and James is in the C8 Z06. Things don’t always go as you might expect in a drag race! We hope you enjoy the episode! Thanks for watching. SUBSCRIBE!

Massive thank you to @demon_2995 for bringing out his Demon for us to drive!

  1. Having driven the Challenger, I gotta say, I don't know why that car was ever put on the market. Ponderously oversized body, small and cheap interior, painfully slow, pig around corners, oh and did I mention it is ugly? I guess the only explanation for its existence is that it is a Dodge.

  2. The demon comes with a drag package skinny tires for the front plus drag tires for the back if these where on the car during this race he should have had better results

  3. Yet demon owners like to say it’s faster than the c8 z06. Clearly they haven’t watched this. Z06 is N/A and still walking a much higher horsepower car on boost. If you put twins in the Z06 it would be doing circles around that demon

  4. LOL at 1:05 other than sharing the name and rear wheel drive its hardly comparable. performance wise as to those built in the late 60's early 70's. what an idiotic statement.
