2022 Yamaha R1M Dyno Testing + Test Ride after Akrapovic Exhaust Install

This bike is going to take a lot of learning to get it just like I like it, but I think I made the right decision going with the Akrapovic Exhaust. First test ride with a draggy!

  1. Defo a bolt-on stretch and mild lowering but flip the stretch over to the short side! I never see anybody do that to try and retain cornering and appearance, they're always just trying to get it long for wheelie control.

  2. When I sit at my pc late at night after working all day and see Moore has a new video out I grab a beer and enjoy the show. Busa guy here but enjoy all the vids. GG!

  3. Not a fan of the cross plane. It sounds good but the cross plane is designed to find traction on the road course. Wish you'd lighten up a zx14 to the max

  4. I hope you have fun throwing money at the Yamaha! Because you’re going to have an uphill climb making it go anywhere near what a Suzuki will do cheaper and easier!
The R1 is going to need actual engine tuning to overcome its deficiencies. Cam timing, compression, and all the chassis work.
    Get busy brother.

  5. Nice video again! Of course going forward in the straight is whp (wheel horse power) and chassis set up. In my case though is about cornering and accelerating out of the corner. Entry speed and body position. Chassis geometry and suspension set up.
We are going in a different directions: ) But I will religiously follow your R1M progress because there are a lot to learn from you.

  6. Love the it’s not all about horse power. That’s why I’m down to 188hp on last seasons turbo Fz10, even went from 16:43 to 17:38 on sprockets and still lifts in 4th over 100mph. Next season 6” swing extension and E85 to run cooler / add power back in wheelie pending.

  7. Man that's the ultimate sportbike. I couldn't spend the money or set up a bike with Ohlins electronic suspension for drag racing though, I'd be taking it to the mountains and CMP. If I bought a new R1 for drag racing I'd get the regular one.

  8. This build is going to be amazing. I cannot wait to see how you get this R1M to hop. Looking forward to seeing what it will lool like stretched and lowered. Can you electronically control the factory velocity stacks?

  9. I'm still waiting to see your Hayabusa 2022 with new camshaft and other engine modifications on the dyno? Can you tell me when you can show it? And go back to suzuki, yamaha will never beat a suzuki on the drag strip! Yamaha are good at sound, which is why they also make pianos

  10. Another awesome video. I'm surprised you don't use any gear besides your helmet on the streets. With your line of work your hands are key to help your business keep going.
