Grubb Worm Camaro is back! Jonathan Atkins came out swinging at FL2K22 first breaking the overall stick shift record, then breaking the record again at a blazing 6.6@216MPH! He also competed in a 6 second grudge race shootout against Cleetus Mcfarland (Mullet), Rick Prospero (Green Mamba), and David Farlow’s Foxbody. Jonathan held his own as the underdog in a field of turbo big blocks and automatics, Grub worm had an impressive showing all around at FL2K!

Impressive ride to see in person no doubt.
The only Drag Racing that I care about Manual Transmission All the way till I die.
Can't wait to see a manual in the 5s.
You had me had stick shift
Seeing how fast these cars are in person… amazing. Videos don't do enough justice but they're pretty close haha
The ultimate driver mod
I know he & the Red Demon keep trading this H-pattern record. Couldn't be more different yet are super competitive, gotta love motorsports!!!
Grubworm and the Grannas supra are nuts. I like both of them.
stick shift class is the best class
Flaming shift cut FTW
Crazy to see how fast stick shift has gone in a relatively short time
mullet went 6.54 at 221 just saying
Driving a man mission
Usually don't care much about stick shift car's but I've been waiting all week for someone to post a feature on this car from fl2k
Country geeks build fast S***
one of the most consistent and reliable drag cars out there
Dope ass video grub worm and Mr Atkinson are animals
With unlimited cubes and configurations, I'd thought they would have the record by now. This shows you how formidable and how good lil 122ci 4cyl 4g63 is.
so how does his tranny set up work? you'd think that would be the main thing to talk about, some sort of dog box or just straight cut gears and some ignition cut stuff going on? doesn't seem like he's lifting
That car has been insane for a long time. Glad to see him finally get it done in the 6s and take the record
It's odd to still call that shifting. Not pressing the clutch and having the computer prevent any loss of RPM is something different. Amazing, but different
4th gen Fbodies >>>
They have the shift logic absolutely dialed! The ignition cut timing and strain gauge are calibrated perfectly, as is the slipper clutch mass. Well done!
Super impressed he kept the old school small cube small block chevy design vs more modern LS.
It's crazy how that F-body was only 200ths of a second slower down the 1/4 yet it was 30mph slower. Shows you how good they accelerate. Grubworm is crazy I'm hoping Leroy can compete when it's dialled in.
And… Grannas gaps the worm (6.691 @ 221mph)
Grannas FTW
