There is something called Dump Gas very bad for modern engines and there is a difference
Belive nothing you hear and half that you see
Kerosene, aka parafin oil is OK for turbines, not at all suitable for reciprocating piston engines, especially as pertains starting. Iso-parafin is gasoline, and suitable for very low compression engines, think early flatheads. Iso-parafin , in modern engines will detonate (knock, spontaneously combust even under typical usage) losing performance & doing damage. Tetra-ethyl lead was tried as an octane booster but turned out to be a very bad idea. Cyclo-parafins, aka aromatic hydro-carbons, are a more complex molecules that spontaneously combust at hgher pressures & temps, thereby when added to gasoline raises the pressure +/or temp where the gas will spontaneously combust, reducing or eliminating detonation. But because they are more complex molecules, they burn slower (possibly so slow that they could still be burning when the exhaust valve opens, burning the valve, relegating their usage to higher compression engines, which burn much faster.
To be clear an automatic is a transmission with a torque converter. A DCT is a computer controlled manual transmission. You should add that common mistake to your list of fallacies
Turn off the engine when stopped may save 1 to 2 % fuel, while causing the expensive battery to need replacing 1 to 2 years earlier than leaving the engine run, blow-by happens every time the engine is started allowing fuel to dilute the engine oil, and wear on the starter and flywheel gear is an engine removal fix. It is less expensive to let the engine run when in stop and go traffic than replacing the battery every 2 to 3 years because of starting the engine every time you turn off the enginf in stop and go traffic.
You said nothing about the advantages of using Top Tier gas. You pay a little more, but your engine stays cleaner and over time a cleaner engine uses less gas and needs less repair. That stop/start stuff is for the birds. If you ask me, start/stop gas savings is not worth the extra ware put on the engine and starting system. I always turn the stupid thing off.
